I came across a photo of a friend's young puppy while searching for subject matter to paint for this challenge.  It was tucked away in one of my "maybe I'll paint this someday" files.  Glad I kept it!  My goal is to tackle new subject matter.  I've never painted an animal before, with brushes or palette knives.  I must say I am very pleased with my portrait of "Jack" and his owner is, too!  I showed it to him today and he bought it on the spot!  Good thing I didn't tell him it was going to be a long overdue birthday present to him!
